Is brunevo legitimate? Our platform review

Is brunevo legitimate? The short answer

Not independent. This review is published by brunevo itself, and partner brokers pay us. Read it as a checklist you can verify, not as a verdict to trust on our word.

Is brunevo legitimate? In the narrow sense, yes. It is operated by a company on the public register, it publishes its costs, and it says how it is paid. In the sense that matters more, the answer is less comforting. A legitimate company can still sell a risky product, and trading CFDs and forex carries a high risk of losing money, including all of it.

How we wrote this platform review

We wrote this page ourselves, from the facts of our own site and from the public pages of other firms. Every competitor figure below comes from the firm's own page, with a link and the date we read it. Where a page does not publish a figure, we say so rather than guess. We have not tested rival platforms and we do not claim to have. We would rather you checked than believed.

A note on the word review. Most review pages are written by people who are paid when you sign up. Ours is too, and we would rather say so in the first lines than bury it in a footer.

What brunevo is not

It is not a broker, so it cannot open an account or hold money. It is not a bank. It is not an adviser, so it cannot tell you what to trade, or whether you should. It is not a prediction engine, and it uses no artificial intelligence and no quantum computing. It is not independent, because partner brokers pay us rebates and referral fees. Each of these is easy to misread from a distance, so we say them here in one place.

What brunevo does

You choose the markets, a risk per trade between 1% and 5% of your account, and your stop-loss and take-profit levels. When your conditions are met, the software sends an order through the broker and attaches your stop. The broker fills it and reports back. Halt Execution stops every new order in one click. It does not close positions that are already open. Those stay with the broker, and you close them there.

The software follows rules, and rules are only as good as the person who wrote them. It does not learn, it does not forecast, and it cannot rescue a bad plan. What it can do is make you write the plan down first, which is the part many people skip.

Fees, honestly

The software costs £0 and joining costs £0. That is true, and it is not the whole story. You pay the spread on every trade and overnight financing on positions you hold, and the broker sets both. Each broker's fee schedule is linked in the table below. We apply no withdrawal fee. Opening a broker account will need a deposit from $250 AUD (or £250 GBP / €250 EUR / $250 CAD / $250 NZD / $250 SGD), which is your own money and not a fee. The cheapest software in the world is still expensive if it makes you trade more often.

Withdrawals

The broker handles withdrawals, not us. It normally reviews a request within 24 business hours, and the money usually clears in 1 to 3 business days. We apply no lock-up, holdback or fee of our own. Delays can still happen, most often on a first withdrawal while identity checks are pending, or when a bank is slow. Read each broker's withdrawal terms before you deposit. Test a small withdrawal early with any platform you use.

The unglamorous bits

Registration needs identity checks, and they take time. Banks add delays of their own. Websites and software have bugs. A stop-loss is an instruction, not a wall, so a fast market can fill you worse than your level. Support works five days a week and closes at the weekend with the markets. None of this is exciting. All of it is the part you will actually live with, so we would rather you heard it from us first.

Executing brokers and their loss rates

Brokers hold your money and carry out your orders. Regulators in the UK and the EU require firms that offer CFDs to retail clients to show the percentage of their retail accounts that lose money. We print each broker's own figure, with its date and a source link, and we do not round it in our favour. The table below shows each broker's figure.

How other platforms compare

Here are three other firms, taken from their own public pages. Where it is not published, we say so. These are other businesses with different products, so read the table as context, not as a ranking. Pages change: check the source before you rely on a figure.

Limitations and risks

This review has limits. We have not tested rival platforms. Competitor pages change, and our dates show when we read them. We cannot see your finances or your temperament. Software can fail, and nothing here is a forecast or a promise. The risks are set out in full on the Risk Disclosure. Please read it before anything else on this page. Our figures for other firms are a snapshot, and we may have misread a page. If you spot a mistake, email [email protected] and we will correct it and update the date.

Who should not use it

  • Anyone who cannot afford to lose every pound they trade.
  • Anyone who would borrow, or use money for rent, bills or savings.
  • Anyone hoping for quick or certain profit.
  • Anyone who wants advice. We do not give any.
  • Anyone under 18.

How to judge any trading platform

  1. Ask who holds the money, and where.
  2. Get the licence number and check it on the regulator's own register, not on the firm's page.
  3. Ask what share of retail accounts lose money, and when that was published.
  4. Read the full fee schedule: spread, overnight, inactivity and withdrawal.
  5. Make a small withdrawal early, to see how it works.
  6. Walk away from promises of fixed returns, countdown timers, celebrity names, and any request for crypto or remote access.

Our verdict

brunevo is a real company selling rule-based software that costs nothing to join. That does not make trading safe or profitable. If you want to set your limits in advance and you can lose every pound you trade, it may be a useful tool. If not, close the page. Either way, check our facts and ignore our adjectives. You can start with the explanation of how we are paid, then decide whether to register. If you take one thing from this page, take the checklist above and use it on every platform you look at, including ours.
